Crushing on… Curacao

All anyone seems to know about Curacao is the beverage (which no one orders) or its much more (in)famous sister isle, Aruba. But the truth is that of the ABC islands, Curacao has much more to offer than neighboring and tiny Bonaire and lacks the built-up commercialism and hoards of tourists that overrun Aruba. This former member of the Netherlands Antilles (now its own country with a special arrangement with Holland) boasts incredible cultural diversity, first-rate diving, and some of the best beach parties in the Caribbean. This week I’ll be sharing some of my favorite hotspots and hidden gems from the 6 months I called Curacao home, but nothing can compare to my ultimate Curacaoan find: a scuba-instructor boyfriend!
