Local Getaway: Singing Beach

I visited for the second time and it’s official: Singing Beach is my favorite beach in the Northeast. Set in the quaint New England town of Manchester-by-the-Sea, it is only a short drive from Boston but feels like a movie set from the ’50s where the kids setup roadside lemonade stands and the teens ride their bikes to lifeguarding duty. The rocky coastline punctuated with sailboats has a quasi-Mediterranean feel and served as the perfect backdrop for my college-bestie’s engagement photos. Pack your best nautical stripes and lobster-embroidered khakis for a day on the squeaking sands (hence the name) but be warned: even in August the chilly water will take your breath away.

Love the pictures. I haven’t been to that beach, but have visited the ones in New Hampshire and they are similiar. I love the feel of the place.
