And you thought you had a pest problem.

I almost laughed out loud at these absurd bird nests photographed by Dillion Marsh for his series Assimilation. Created by the architecturally-savvy Sociable Weaver bird, these nests dot (well, blob) the landscape of the southern Kalahari Desert. Unique subject matter aside, Dillion gets bonus points for capturing a usually harsh environment in dreamy lighting and pastel hues.
