Make like an ancient goddess in white and gold for your next trip to the desert. Trying to find the location of this shoot was a bit of a mission in itself. Turns out it was shot at Nemrut Dag, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in southeastern Turkey. The statues date from the 1st century BC and are part of a royal tomb from the Kingdom of Commageae. You learn something every day!

Doutzen Kroes shot by Paul Bellaart for Vogue Netherlands September 2013.
